Copy Leadership

 I like making writers better because it makes me a better writer.

There’s a version of senior creative leadership that’s about protecting your own output. That’s not what I do. My job is to make the whole team better, including me. Which means not only developing writers, but building copy culture, and creating the conditions where great work happens because its Tuesday.

I’ve led copy across large accounts at the big holding company agencies and . I’ve mentored writers at every level, from junior copywriters finding their voice to mid-level writers learning to lead. I’ve built feedback systems that make MLR reviews faster and less painful. And I’ve sat in enough creative reviews to know the difference between copy that’s merely defensible and copy that’s actually good.
